Dude...your bike has some serious voodoo on it...have you taken it to an Authorized Dealer?

Yes I think that this is the best solution, take your motorcycle to an authorized dealer and tell them the problem... I relly can't think in any problem causing the engine stop in wet enviroment only. Please take your motorcycle to a authorized and after tell us what was the problem, if they discover something.

qu sob o diafragm havia a ‡gua.

Nunca pude reproduzir este problem tenho a casa com um jorro de ‡gua.

Teriam uma ideia de que pode causar a condensa‹o a n’vel do diafragm?

My almost complete servicing details:

6000 KM = oil change, oil filter change, clutch change, air filter change.
(Symptoms of clutch no more good: No neutral and/or hard to shift gear)

8000 KM = FRONT DISK BRAKE PADS CHANGE

9000 km = rear tyre change - Michelin Anakee, spark plug change

10000km = oil change

Trouble: 5th Gear jump back to 4th on hard acceleration

14400KM on 31 oct 08 = OIL CHANGE and OIL Filter Change (Symptoms
of Oil no more good: Rough gear shifting and even gear jumps, gear not
shifting well and jump back to previous gear on acceleration but does
hold well after reengaging with good grip on clutch lever)

Previous Trouble stop

16000KM = Front Brake Pads Swap

18000KM on 21 Dec 08 = Oil Change

Trouble Again: 5th Gear jump back to 4th on hard acceleration, Strange
acceleration issue in high revolution, no steady power and back fire on
engine braking on 5th gear and 4th gear (High Rev.)

18800KM = Engine Valve clearance Adjustment

19300KM on 11 Jan 09 = Carb cleaning, Spark Plug Change, Air Cut Off
Valve Spring change to smoother one, Vaccum tube modification to
shorter one (the one going the the air cutoff valve)

19800KM - 090115 = Front Tyre Change - Dunlop TrailMax @ 1300 RS

20200KM - 090120 = Air Filter Change (NISSAN AK12 Air Filter @ 150
RS)

Upon suggestion from Reshad I suppress the Air Suction Valve but not
removed from the bike
Eliminating Air Suction Valve solve the issue - AirCutOff valve spring on
carb reset to normal, Scottoiler on vaccum is responsible i suppose for
issue - No indication previously in this mail of addition of scottoiler but
was around 14000-16000 KM

On 090130 had the gear get back to 4th from 5th on high acceleration
again - which does happen rarely with this engine after some sharing with
xr400 and other NX4 users online and locally

Trouble in very heavy rain, 090131 engine bogging in very heavy rain
and stops but does restart and bog again on high rpm and high speed
and cant maintain engine on, almost 2 inch of water on the road. I supect
air filter box drain tube which were lose also but dont think its the cause
of the trouble May be the AK12 filter. Reach 21100KM Oil not changed
yet.

21200KM - 090204= Oil changes, Oil filter change + lot of trouble riding
in rain

--
Around here; new spark plug
--

22670KM - 090217= Moto Encounter some modifications, Issue in rain
not solved (No, see 090224 next) (Carburetor air inlet under diafragm
which supply air in air cut off valve were getting water through the air
filter on the air passage attached, even when its not raining there is a
cavity under the diafragm that keeps some water and while riding and
taking a curve on the right the water get in the carb in fuel through the
air cut off valve which take air from under diafragm) tube bringing air
under diafragm moved, now connected to main air filter box in the place
of secondary air system supply; secondary air system removed, bushing
now replaced on entry of air circuit which goes in exhaust, the valve
under fuel tank also removed; front brake pads change was on limit to
damaging the disc.

090224 = Issue in rain Still not solved!!! @ 090218 same issue get stuck
in rain at Britania, cell phone flod!!, @ 090223 even worse cause accident
on round about when engine bog and stop in the middle of the road.

090305 @ 24200km = Oil change, Oil filter change, Clutch change
(Trouble still on, i suspect condensation occuring near diafragm at high
speed)

Wizard.... Why this condesation of water in diafragm?? Where do you live??? What kind of gas you use??? I don´t think in anything to solve your problem, really wizard...

What about the possibility of your spark plug cable being ruptured, and when wet it leaks electrical power, stopping the bike? That cable is quite cheap to change, if it´s really that.

About the gear: it´s probable that your shifting mechanism is defective - can be either a weak of ruptured coil from the internal shifter, or a broken tooth on the 5th gear.

In either case, can your find a reliable mechanic around you? It´s the best solution... and the changes that you made, it´s probable that they didn´t do any good at all, only wasted your time and money. The bike on it´s original form is quite trouble-free.

Do you have the Nx4 parts available easily?

parts unavailable here must order fron singapore which order from brazil
and japan and i pay an air ticket to collect, wait almost 3-6 month after
order

spark plug cable is ok, havnt bring any expensive change to the bike apart
the addition of scottoiler!! and removal of secondary air system to stop back
fire on deceleration!

Why don´t you order a few parts directly from Brazil?

Some people here can send the parts for you, the freight it´s not really that expensive if you make it by land, and takes about 25 days. By air, about 7 days.

The thing is, if you dismantle the engine to see what you need, you will have to wait until the new parts arrive to put it back in shape, so you won´t be able to use the bike.

But if you keep using and the problems get worse, you will have to do the same anyway...

It seems, as you have noticed, that the bike´s problems begin when something, somewhere, gets wet.

It´s very likely that something is an electrical part, perhaps a wire with a broken insulation that on dry weather doesn´t do anything, but when wet causes interference on the ignition. Would you be willing to review the wires lloking for bad contacts or breaks in the plastic?

Also remember to check the headlight housing, which contains a lot of wires inside, and is on of the first parts to get wet on rain.

Its not only in rain but on wet road/surfaces that the problem occur, also the
something the more suspicious up to now is the kind of condensation/very
cold occuring on top of carb (diafragm) at high speed. Checked all electric
circuit its NOT on the electric side.

How about carb icing? Do you live in a cold area?
